Learn PCB Design with KiCad
A beginner workshop on printed circuit board (PCB) design with KiCad, which is free and open source.
We don’t start from a textbook example: we draw the schematics from the projects attendees propose. If you have a board idea going round your head, bring it.
What we will cover:
- The full workflow, from schematic to board.
- Basic electronic design principles.
- How to draw clear, tidy schematics.
- KiCad features that save a lot of time once you know them.
- Everyday tricks to design faster.
What you need:
- A laptop with KiCad installed (version 7 recommended). It is a free download from kicad.org.
- No previous experience needed.
Good to know:
- Limited spots due to space.
- If you sign up and then can’t make it, cancel so someone else can have your place.
